Ted counsels clients regarding choice of business entity (e.g. corporation, limited liability company or partnership), formation and organization of the new entity, and operational and ongoing compliance matters. He routinely represents clients in many different kinds of commercial transactions, including financing transactions and purchases and sales of businesses. Ted frequently advises and assists clients in drafting, negotiating and interpreting commercial contracts of all sorts, including employment agreements, sales and distribution agreements, leases and shareholders agreements. He also assists clients in securing and protecting rights in intellectual property; and drafts, negotiates and enforces intellectual property licensing agreements for both licensors and licensees. Ted served for three years as Chairman of the North Carolina Credit Union Commission which regulates credit unions in North Carolina. He has also served as general counsel and chief operating officer of a regional distribution company, legal counsel to a large public company and legislative counsel to a federal agency.
George T. "Ted" Mann practices in the area of business law and commercial transactions. He provides legal advice and guidance to companies, shareholders, directors and officers with respect to a variety of organizational, operational and strategic matters.
