Donald M. "Don" VonCannon works primarily in the area of real estate matters. He is certified as a specialist by the North Carolina State Bar in Real Property Law-Residential, Business, Commercial and Industrial Transactions. He has been certified in those areas since November 17, 1988. He has extensive experience in all phases of the acquisition and development of commercial property, including contract negotiation, financing, examination of title to property, closing the purchase and working through the development of property, including drafting covenants, conditions and restrictions on the uses of property. Don has also handled numerous complex commercial property transactions, hotel acquisitions, tax free exchanges, including reverse tax free exchanges, and development agreements involving commercial property. Don is AV rated and has been selected by the North Carolina Business Magazine as one of the "legal elite" in the area of real estate practice in North Carolina. In addition to his full-time law practice, Don has served as an adjunct professor of law at Wake Forest University Law School teaching a class on Real Estate Finance.

Don works very hard to provide each client with quality service in the most cost efficient matter. He has a staff which includes a legal assistant, a closing paralegal and a title searching paralegal. The closing paralegal has worked directly with Don for over 24 years and the title searching paralegal has worked with him for over 9 years. Both are North Carolina State Bar certified paralegals.
