Andrew Dickens
Andrew Dickens joined the firm after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2010.
During law school, Andrew was on the staff of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Journal, was a Legal Research & Writing Teaching Assistant, and was involved in the community as a volunteer for the Innocence Project and the Guardian Ad Litem program. He also worked at the Wake Forest Community Law and Business Clinic, providing legal services to local businesses and non-profit organizations.
Andrew continues his involvement in the community as a strong supporter of the United Way of Forsyth County, serving as a United Way Impact Council volunteer and a member of the Legal Division of Young Leaders United.
Andrew practices primarily in the firm's Commercial Real Estate and Business Law groups. Working closely with the members of these practice groups every day, Andrew combines a keen sense of understanding with an extensive knowledge of the law to add value to each project he works on.
Andrew's commercial real estate experience includes all phases of the acquisition and development of commercial property, including contract drafting and negotiation, financing, examination of title to property, closing the purchase, and working through the development of property, including drafting covenants, conditions, and restrictions on the uses of property. He has also helped our clients negotiate and draft commercial leases as both landlords and tenants.
Andrew's business law experience includes business formation and ongoing organizational and compliance matters, as well as more complicated matters including mergers and acquisitions and private placements. Andrew also assists our clients in securing and protecting rights in intellectual property; and drafts, negotiates, and enforces intellectual property licensing agreements for both licensors and licensees.
Though he has been with the firm for only a short time, Andrew has already demonstrated his highly capable legal abilities to clients and colleagues alike.
